By heterosexism, I mean the complex of attitudes, beliefs, and assumptions that uphold sexual desire, sexual acts, romantic attraction, or intimate attachments between individuals of different sex-gender as normal, preferred, or prevalent compared to sexual desire, sexual acts, romantic attraction, or intimate attachments between individuals of the same sex-gender.
